Dr. Deepak Kumar Kushwaha currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the School of Management, O.P. Jindal University in India. He holds a PhD in Operations Research & Data Analytics from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His primary research interests include combinatorial optimization, large-scale optimization, emergency logistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, human factors and ergonomics. He undertook a government-funded research project sponsored by CAIR, DRDO of India, and has published several journal articles, 7 conference proceedings and contributed a book chapter. He was granted MHRD fellowship by the Government of India for both postgraduate and doctoral studies and obtained the elite top 2% certificate for the NPTEL course on AI in Industrial & Management Engineering. He has attended many high-level academic workshops on time series forecasting, large-scale optimization and industrial machine learning, and consistently develops mathematical optimization models for post-disaster helicopter rescue distribution, crew scheduling, pallet loading and workstation ergonomic assessment to promote the application of operations research in emergency relief, air freight and industrial management.
