Dr. Ali M. Shehadeh /Associate Professor

Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Dhofar University, Sultanate of Oman

Dr. Ali M. Shehadeh is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering and an academic leader with more than twelve years of experience in construction engineering and management, infrastructure sustainability, artificial intelligence, quality assurance, and research development. His work integrates machine learning, explainable artificial intelligence, optimization, reliability analysis, digital construction technologies, BIM, virtual reality, structural monitoring, climate‑resilient infrastructure, and sustainable resource management. He develops practical, evidence‑based methods that strengthen safety, productivity, quality, sustainability, and long‑term infrastructure performance. Dr. Shehadeh has held senior academic and institutional leadership appointments at Yarmouk University – including Director of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center, Assistant Dean for Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, and Chair of the Civil Engineering Department – and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Dhofar University, Sultanate of Oman. His research portfolio spans construction safety and risk analytics, equipment and logistics optimization, project controls, digital construction, climate‑adaptive pavement and infrastructure management, structural performance, and Water‑Energy‑Food‑Environment nexus applications. He has published over 75 scholarly outputs, secured more than US$3.5 million in competitive research funding, and is ranked among the top 0.5% of scholars worldwide by ScholarGPS. He serves as an Editor for Springer’s Discover Artificial Intelligence and has been a judge for the QS Reimagine Education Awards. His funded projects include collaborations with the Royal Academy of Engineering, Erasmus+, and the UNHCR.
