Dr. Piu Jain /Assistant Professor

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, India

Dr. Piu Jain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), India, with more than 25 years of combined academic and industrial experience, including a decade of engineering practice in the manufacturing industry. She received her Ph.D. from Delhi Technological University (DTU), following an M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering and a B.Tech. in Production Engineering. Her research interests include smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence and generative AI, supply chain management, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, flexible manufacturing systems, mass customization, sustainable supply chains, FinTech, and data-driven decision-making. Her recent research focuses on digital transformation in manufacturing, AI-enabled supply chain management, and intelligent production systems. She has published extensively in leading international journals, including Production Planning & Control, The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, and Materials Today: Proceedings, in addition to numerous international conference papers and book contributions, with her publications receiving more than 80 citations according to Google Scholar. Dr. Jain actively supervises undergraduate research projects, many of which have been presented at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed proceedings. She also engages in industry consultancy and collaborative projects to promote smart manufacturing and industrial digitalization. In addition, she regularly participates in international faculty development programs and conferences on Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and digital supply chains, and has been honored with the Commendable Research Award from Delhi Technological University for her research achievements. Through her integration of academic research, engineering practice, and industry collaboration, she has established expertise in intelligent manufacturing, industrial engineering, and sustainable supply chain management.
